George’s Cream was created with a simple goal - to help people feel comfortable in their skin again. Founded by pharmacist George Doherty, the formula was designed to deliver real relief for dry, sensitive, and overworked skin without unnecessary ingredients or complexity.

George’s products are gentle, fragrance-free formulas that hydrate, soothe, and protect the skin’s natural barrier. Free from harsh ingredients like urea, lanolin, and parabens, it’s made for everyday use and suitable for all skin types.

The formula hasn’t changed in 30 years, and through that time, it’s become a trusted staple for families across Canada, used for everything from everyday dryness to more sensitive skin concerns.

Meet (the Real) George

Pharmacist George Doherty set out to solve a problem he was seeing every day: people struggling with dry, irritated skin, especially in Alberta’s harsh, dry climate.

Working alongside his business partner Skip Gibson, George developed a formula that was richer, more moisturizing, and made with fewer, more thoughtful ingredients. It had to be gentle, fragrance-free, and accessible. Something people could rely on without needing a prescription.

That philosophy still defines the product today: simple, effective skincare that works.

A Family Legacy, Continued

Today, George’s Cream remains proudly Canadian and family-owned, now led by the Martin family in Calgary, Alberta.

While the brand continues to grow, the focus hasn’t changed, staying true to the original formula, maintaining the same level of care, and continuing to serve the everyday needs of Canadian families.
